Install in a fewsteps

The installer is designed for normal Windows users: download, run setup, finish install, and start creating Fenster immediately.

1. Download the installer

Grab the current Windows installer and run Fenster-Setup.exe. The setup installs the app, Explorer integration, and first-run options.

2. Finish setup and launch

On first install you can enable auto-hide desktop icons if that workflow fits you. After launch, Fenster appear as desktop overlays instead of a normal big host window.

Not yet. Windows may show a warning because the installer is currently unsigned.

FensterDocks is currently a Windows desktop utility built with C# and WPF.

Yes. Right-click the Desktop or any folder background in Explorer to create a new Fenster or New Folder Fenster in that scope.

No. This is still an alpha-stage public build, but it is already usable and structured like a real product.
